If your verification failed, stalled, or Google is showing you no options, you probably went looking for a phone number. Here's the straight answer: Google retired its Business Profile support phone line in 2022. Support still exists, but you reach it online, and for verification problems the path starts in a place most business owners would not think to look.
Is There a Phone Number You Can Call?
No. There is no public phone number for Google Business Profile support. Any website listing a "Google Business Profile support number" is either outdated or not connected to Google.
Support now runs through the Google Business Profile Help Center. Depending on the issue, Google may offer chat, email, or a request for a callback. Not every option shows up for every issue, and the options can change.
Where Verification Support Actually Starts
For verification problems, the starting point is Google's verification status tool. If you use the general help form and describe a verification issue, Google typically sends you to that tool instead of a contact form.
The tool looks like it only reports your status, so a lot of people stop there. Keep going. At the end of the tool, look for a "Contact us" option.
- 1Sign in with the Google account that owns or manages the profile.
- 2Open the verification status tool from the Google Business Profile Help Center.
- 3Select the business you are trying to verify.
- 4Work through the prompts to the end and look for "Contact us."
Google changes this layout without notice, so the wording and steps on your screen may look a little different.
Try These Before You Reach Out
A few checks can save you a support request:
- Look for other verification options. If your profile shows more than one method, Google says you can try another one.
- Know that you cannot pick the method. Google decides which verification methods your business gets based on your business type and details. Requesting a different method through support is possible, but it is Google's call.
- Check your postcard code date. Postcard codes expire after 30 days. If yours is older than that, request a new one instead of entering the old code.
- Confirm your details match. Your business name, address, phone, and website should match what customers see and what your documents show. Our guide on why consistency matters covers what to look at.
- Prepare before recording a video. If you have video verification, read our video verification tips before you record.
Common Reasons Google Won't Let You Verify
Google does not always say why verification stalls. In most cases, it comes back to Google not being able to confirm that the business is real and operating where the profile says it does. Common causes include:
- Business details that don't match across the profile, website, and documents
- An address that may not qualify, such as a virtual office
- A profile set up under the wrong business model. Our guide on service area vs storefront businesses explains the difference
- A verification video that does not show the proof Google is looking for
- Recent edits to key details like name, address, or category
If you see a message saying there are no more ways to verify, that is a sign to contact support through the verification status tool rather than retrying.

What to Have Ready When You Contact Google
Support requests go better when you can explain the problem clearly the first time. Have these ready:
- The business name, address, and phone exactly as they appear on the profile
- The email address of the account that owns or manages the profile
- A short description of what happened, with dates
- Screenshots of any error messages
- Supporting documents that show the business is real, such as a business license or utility bill. Our evidence checklist lists the types of documents that tend to help.
What Google Support Can and Can't Do
Google support can look into a stuck verification and, in some cases, offer another method, such as a live video call. Support cannot override Google's eligibility rules, and it cannot promise an outcome. If the underlying issue is the business setup itself, support will usually point you back to fixing that first.
Watch Out for Fake "Google" Calls
Google does not make unsolicited sales calls about your Business Profile, and Google will never ask for your verification code. If someone calls claiming to be Google and asks for payment, codes, or login details, hang up. Your profile is free, and real verification happens inside your own account.
Our guide on whether Google will call you to verify your business covers how to spot these calls.
When It Makes Sense to Get Help
Plenty of business owners sort this out on their own using the steps above. If you have already contacted support, retried, and are still stuck, or if a verification attempt led to a suspension, that is where outside help can save you time. Our Google Business Profile verification support service reviews what is blocking your profile and guides you through the next steps. There is no upfront service fee. Payment is due only if your profile is verified after our work begins.
